This thread collects community reports about a Fairino robot that powers up but never connects to the controller.
Status
Partial checklist. Several different causes were reported. There is no single confirmed fix.
Symptoms
- The cobot end light keeps cycling through blue, green and red.
- In other reports, the end light stays off after an unexpected stop.
- The WebApp shows the arm as not connected, or the host is unreachable.
- Power cycling does not help.
Known checks
- Check the E-stop on every connected device, including the teach pendant and the button box. One user fixed it by powering off, releasing the button and powering on again.
- Check the power cable between the control box and the robot base. Fairino Europe support named a bad arm connection or missing 48V as the usual cause of this picture.
- With the power off, inspect the arm connector pins. Reports describe a loose pin, and a pin pushed back into the connector. In that case the robot powered up but could not communicate.
- Check that the loops at the back of the control box are still in place.
- If ping fails while the light on the back of the control box is on, the controller itself may be damaged. A blinking light was also mentioned as a sign of controller damage.
Reported codes
